Is anyone aware of any Python based codebases that have a working I3 implementation already in? The specification is probably out of my current ability and understanding level to implement on my own, a Pythonic example would be great.

I think that Richard Tew has something (maybe just a proof of concept) in his Sorrows lib. I'm basing this on something he wrote here.
