You'll guys will now notice the top right hand corner of posts (perms permitting) you have two new buttons. The first is 'Report Post'. This is a simple ajax routine that fires off a PM to moderators to alert them of an offending post. Also a button called 'spawn'. This will spawn a new topic off that post. It will show a link back to the original spawned post, as well as show in that post all the topics that have spawned off of it (if any). Enjoy!

Nice!  But I'm afraid I couldn't resist trying them out.  I didn't expect the report to fire off without any confirmation (I thought there would be some option to enter a comment first), so please ignore the notification from me.

CSS/JS should auto refresh, but if it doesn't (ie. these new buttons lack icons) then force refresh (shift+f5). An alert box should pop up saying "Post Reported" and the button then disappears.

It might be useful to couple spawn with quote, so it brings over the contents of the post you spawned from into the reply box.

This is emphatically a suggestion rather than a demand :smile: but I think some sort of warning symbol would be a better choice of icon for the "report post" button rather than a hammer. The "danger" road sign (red triangle filled in white with a black exclamation mark) might be a good choice.

It's possible that the gavel is more culturally indicative of judgment here than in the UK; I quite liked the icon. I'm fine with a danger sign of some sort, too. Interestingly, those aren't really universal either (the US danger road sign isn't really that) but it's clear enough what it would mean.

If you spawn a new topic, type in your message and click preview, you see the preview correctly, but the text box containing your message is reset (so if you then click 'preview' again, or 'create topic', your message will be lost).
