Okay, I've seen this around, where it gives players the ability to filter out information, so I decided to write one up for my mud, and this is what I came up with.
The goal behind this is. If you have the flag enabled, you ignore the data (ie, you dont' see it) which is great. My mud now has about 20 filters, and more coming all the time. So I hope you all enjoy it, and are able to use this in your muds.
