hey guys, I think I'm doing everything right here but things aren't working, so I'm hoping by running it by the forum someone might spot the error.

I edited my domain name host zone file to look like this:

And my account at Posterous (where I want the subdomain to redirect to)

It's been about 36 hours and going to post.ergodicbreak.com still fails to find the domain; if I go to ergodicbreak.posterous.com it automatically redirects to post.ergodicbreak.com and then the same error.

If I just wanted to point ergodicbreak.com to posterous I could use an A record but I don't think that's what I want; all the help at Posterous says my setup should work, but maybe I'm missing something?

Well as it turns out it was a syntax error – missing a period at the end of posterous.com.

That's not a syntax error, it's a feature :P

Without period, it is treated as subdomain of the origin.
