Hidin' Haley. Good nick. Or maybe a fun new slightly pornographic game? … ;)

I'm not sure how much fun it would be to play "Hide the Haley" seems a bit wrong to me.

I would like something that rather than releasing it to us, is released to public domain or some such.

The wikimedia licensing policy allows anyone to use contributions subject to a few restrictions so would certainly fit the bill if you want other people to be able to mirror the content or similar, and I assume that's what Tyche was getting at and why he suggested it. As I noted however it doesn't address the issue that prompted this discussion as someone would still be within their rights to insist their name was removed from any derivative or collection. That may well be a worthwhile compromise depending on how concerned you are about making the forum content available outside Mudbytes.

Edit: fixed quote

you got your quote wrong, it wasn't DH that said that it was Kiasyn.

I'd recommend a community license like Wikipedia.

On second thought, this seems like a bad idea.
