Hello Mudding Community,

We at the Wizarding World are in search of some Harry Potter fans to help us create a world SOULY based on the books.

A general overview of the mud will consist of a world 50 years after Harry Potter has left school. Players will be just starting out in the wizarding world. Upon beginning their adventure, they will create a first and last name (and NO it may not be a name relating to or of the characters in the books). And if they so wish, they can create a storyline (where they grew up, that sort of thing).

Basically players will go to Hogwarts, be made to do actual assignments to be handed into real player staff professors, compete in Quidditch, earn points for their house, maybe we'll have some fun one year and create the quad house tournament…all the things that is done at Hogwarts will be done on game.

After Hogwarts, they can have jobs at Gringotts, work for the ministry, sell things, make things to be used, get jobs working for others, and if you donate you get your own shop at Diagon alley (configured however you like, with the ability to create your own magical items, which will be screened so as not to unbalance the game).

If you have messenger, Skype or anything of the sort, that will be helpful as it will make working together a lot easier.

We have 5 wonderful builders with more to come and we are zooming along. This is a great bunch of people to work with and we would like to add any Harry Potter fans to the ranks. We are willing to teach you to build on this very easy Coffeemud engine if you would like to add your mark to the Wizarding World. We are also searching for people who are good with scripting. Anyone good with java is welcome to join. If you would like to help out with RP and other things, we have many slots open for that as well. Please email us at admin@thewizardingworld.net. Thanks!

Anyone who would like to help out, please come join us at thewizardingworld.net 8811
Thanks for reading and we hope to see you soon!

While I have zero interest in Harry Potter, I'd like to thank you for posting an intelligent advertisement. It's also good to see you already have a working staff and are just looking to grow that further; not coming here requesting a staff from the ground up. Best of luck to you!

I agree! I wish I had free time from working on my mud to help out with this project just because it sounds like it would be a fun bunch to work with. (That, and I am a HP fan… but I read just about -everything- that decent Brit authors write.)
