hi guys, hoping to benefit from the wisdom of the forum here. I'm in the beta test for a game where to be the gamemaster, you need to open a port. I can't do this because I don't have admin access to the routers I use for my Internet.

Googling around I'm learning about 'reverse port forwarding' but I don't see a good (free) solution that seems workable yet…basically I want the capability to give someone else an IP and port, so they can send their connection to me (otherwise I can only play one side of the beta test, and rely on others to open ports).

The game is graphical by the way, and I don't have access to a remote desktop (nor know how to set that up).

You want a VPN or similar.

But barring getting doing that – true, it would be pretty cheap, but I'd still have to set it up – has anyone heard of an application or web service that takes care of this?

edit: sorry, I misread kiasyn's post – reading more about VPNs now.
