I want wanted to point out SuSe studio for anyone that hadn't heart of it. It allows you build custom linux distributions with a few simple clicks. I just created a distro, with a minimal X system, based on SuSe Enterprise, containing everything I *have* to get on a new OS. I took about 3 minutes, and I had it built as a vmware image in a few minutes. You can select from USB bootable image, vmware appliance, liveCD etc… Really neat if you want to customize a distro for yourself! =)

EDIT : Doh, forgot the url.

That seems like it'll be pretty handy, thanks!
Since we're passing around this kind of thing, I found a handy util to load a disto up onto a usb drive so it can be used a a live disk or installer.

Stuff about Unetbootin…

Unetbootin was enormously helpful when I decided to reinstall the OS on my netbook. Great tool =)
