Not much worth talking about at the moment, but welcome aboard, Justice, got any cool snippets for us?

Howdy howdy. Saw the topic on the FUSS forum's RSS feed, rushed right on over. Had a hell of a time trying to register, though… Those "Type the letters and numbers as they appear in the picture" things are supposed to sift out the registration bots, but half the time I find myself being sifted out by some of the more obscure looking ones. :(

It's called OCR.

How do I know this? Er… >.>
Let's call it a misspent youth.

Since you ask… yeah. I've been working on a script snippet for SMAUGFUSS.

Basically, allowing you to use script for progs, skills, and commands… sort of like softcode in other codebases. I'm implementing javascript for it initially. With an eye toward keeping all of the functionality of the current mprog system.

Later I'd like to implement something like Python as a second script option. My system sits besides the existing mprog system without any issues (would hate to ruin old areas). It also allows scripts to be stored on vnums and included into progs and whatnot. There's a level based security system to restrict what each script is capable of doing. Should be ready for posting in a week or so depending on how much time work allows.

It only would've been worth it if the picture involved a cat…

Cats + Captions =

Dogs + Captions =
