After a good number of months out from coding on MUD's, I have decided that I would like to take up a long term project with a strong, positive and motivated team to get me back into what I enjoy.

Whilst my proficiency in C might not be up to the standards of many individuals, I do have a passion for coding and I have the ability to do it efficiently enough. I have a creative spark that can be tempered into whatever environment that I decide to join and hopefully I can bring some of that to your MUD. As for my coding experience, I have roughly a year and half's experience, which involves the production of new code and the fixing of bugs in existing code. I would rather be honest and say that I'm probably nowhere near the best, but I shall say that I have enough experience to provide any MUD with a lot of good features and be able to do it well.

I'm looking for a game that is based around fantasy or midevil, and tend to avoid the typical nonsense that people post about a new starwars or dragonball ofshoot. We have seen them all before and they do tend to get boring quickly. Being very roleplay orientated in mind, I find that I'd like to angle towards a roleplay encourage/enforced MUD which can satiate my need for intreguing players! To be an enforced roleplaying game is not mandatory, as I am aware that many game's tend to fall into the encouraged category. Mainly I am looking for a positive, forward thinking game with goals that aren't outrageous but steady and progressive. I'm happy to assist with the day to day running of the game, just as much as coding so I would consider myself a versatile person of any staff. It would also be a massive bonus if staff had the option of having some in-role persona, as I do find that staff need some kind of encouraging just as much as players do. It also lends itself well to interact with your playerbase with a hands on approach.

Anyway, I'm rambling on a little and I wanted to keep this brief, but hopefully I shall hear back from a couple of interesting MUD owners or administrators and speak to you more about your project. As a side note, I would rather join a community that was already established or semi-established.

If you want to speak more send me a PM and I'll be sure to respond to you as soon as possible, thanks!

Given your criteria I'd take a look at the pre-alpha forum link in my signature.

We're currently developing a role play enforced mud based on an original theme. We've got a really passionate team!

So take a look.

Man, HAM is fun, worth getting if you have a real passion for it, I'm just starting, been at it afew years, and I'm just now starting to get all the fun stuff, like a larger antenna, and transmission gear in general, theres so much out there, its wild :) Ofcourse, thats just the geek in me. Coming from a guy who is a ham radio operator, codes for fun, and has 6 computers dedicated to seti….. Yeah… Guess it might not be fun for some.. HAHA

you don't NEED to know morse code for it but if ham radio is your hobby, you'd only be a half-assed ham if you didn't. That's like a model ship builder that doesn't know the nautical terms. Or a model plane enthusiast who doesn't know the first thing about wind resistance and drag and all that crazy stuff. Or it'd be like the porn hobbyist who never learned how to spank it. You don't NEED to know these things but you're just not doing it right if you don't.

hehe you have no idea… I tend to censor myself heavily on here and what you see is just the stuff that squeezes past the filter between my brain and my fingers.

Let's be thankful then that you censor yourself at least that much.

Yes, very thankful. If I were to allow the contents of my twisted warped mind to spill out onto this forum, there would be a need for a lot more insane asylums in the world cause my insanity corrupts even the most sane of individuals.
