You play an Uplink Agent who makes a living by performing jobs for major corporations. Your tasks involve hacking into rival computer systems, stealing research data, sabotaging other companies, laundering money, erasing evidence, or framing innocent people.
You use the money you earn to upgrade your computer systems, and to buy new software and tools. As your experience level increases you find more dangerous and profitable missions become available. You can speculate on a fully working stock market (and even influence its outcome). You can modify peoples academic or criminal records. You can divert money from bank transfers into your own accounts. You can even take part in the construction of the most deadly computer virus ever designed

OK Zenn, you'll have your answer very soon. I'll probably do it before going to bed tonight; I'll have to think for a while and start listing from some 20 years ago…

Yeah, I had that problem. Been gaming for as long as I can remember so it's hard to pick favourites when there are a lot of really good games. The old Dragon Warrior games for NES were very fun. Forgot about those. lol
Also, Master Blaster and the whole Metroid series. lol..
As far as MUDs, I remembered my first MUD I think was called AstroMUD.. That was a pretty amazing MUD back then with tons of people, not sure how it's doing now. lol

Yeah, sorry about that, life kind of hit me like a train over the weekend and it's been interesting since. I'll have it up asap. I haven't forgotten.
For the MU*News site, why is there a giant American flag and a reference to years of liberty? It's not as if MU*s are even an American thing; in fact, one of the very first ones if not the first one (by Richard Bartle) was British. It's a little in-your-face, too.

You KNOW who I am.
Do I? Actually I've seen the name 'Zenn' a few places (and for most of those I went by a different nick) so you might have to remind me which one of those was you.

I agree entirely. I really hate to see the American flag plastered everywhere. Not that I have anything against America, I think it's silly to put your flag -everywhere-.
