The premise:

New technology has allowed programmers to enter a computer and fight bugs the old-fashioned way, with swords and magic. Most areas will be based on the codebase of some real FOSS project that tends to hang around on a *nix system.

We will base off of Dead Souls and will have hosting as soon as Zeno gets around to resolving my application one way or the other. I have done some coding before (see http://www.mudbytes.net/pastebin-43071 because the Code Snippets moderators are being slow with approval) We will open with 3 classes: Debugger, Programmer, and Expert (read fighter, mage, and cleric), initially, along with a selection of races. We'll keep you posted if anything happens.

Why does the Cleric get to be the Expert?

I think the cleric might be renamed System Expert (on account of their nearly "religious" devotion to their system of choice).

Is Zeno usually unresponsive between last night and now. [Nevermind: I can wait]

I sent him an e-mail about my hosting account there too, and I still haven't heard back either.

I think I sent it in July or August maybe?

Har. I like this idea though.
