Anyway, seriously. I can't quite figure out how to connect to IMC2. I want to really bad, because I feel intermud networking may not be the wave of the future, but damn it's cool to have multiple muds chatting with each other, and I'm sure it can't hurt as far as my learning curve goes.

So, I type IMC. I get a list of Mort commands. I type imchelp imc2: THEN and ONLY then do I see admin commands for IMC. I type IMCSetup. I get the classic, HUH? :P I'm running quickmud. Is it possible that I have a half implemented version of IMC? Any help appreciated of course and more information obviously available upon request. Thank you! :)

Which server are you connecting to, and what's the MUD name?

Honestly haven't come up with a good name for my mud yet. I keep calling it 'mymud' lol. And I keep trying to connect to either server (1 or 2) it doesn't seem to matter since the code just doesn't seem to be there.

Semi-edit (i haven't posted yet): I just found a set of commands under imcconfig (i was trying to use imcsetup), that are supposed to allow you to setup your mud for IMC. Well… here is the log of that venture… It really seems like IMC was semi-implemented in quickmud, but I could be wrong of course.

Quote
imchelp imcconfig

On that note, how the heck do I tell what version my mud supports? I am running quickmud, dl'ed straight from mudbytes. I haven't touched the imc stuff so… what version would that be? Forgive me for being retarded ;)

All that actually does is generate a config file - you don't need to run it, it doesn't communicate with the servers.
