As we edge closer and closer to opening, we have some significant testing that we are about to undergo.

A little background on the MUD.

End of Time is a heavily modified ROM codebase based on the worlds of Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger with some Secret of Mana/Seiken Densetsu influence. We have four base classes that at level 50 and 80 can "promote" to higher versions of the classes based on alignment. We have the game just about complete up to level 50 and have recently finished coding all of the skills for the 1st promotion (2nd tier classes that span from level 50 to 79).

On Monday, Feb 9th and for the rest of the week, we will be holding trials for testing the skills. Our promotion classes are based largely on alignment, which will be determined by actions taken in a playable storyline full of interlinked quests. The storyline being complete up to level 50 is the final thing we need to finish before we are totally complete up to level 50, and at which point we will list the game and open. The way we are going to be handling testing the skills is based on the alignment division. Once a character has reached level 50, and on the two days that the "good" or "orderly" class skills are being tested, the level 50 character will have access to all of the skills for their promotion class on the good side. So, level 50 Knights will have access to all of the Paladin skills, as an example. We will test the good classes for 2 days, then witch to the evil classes, then switch to the neutral classes, giving everyone a chance to try all three options and to provide crucial feedback and play testing before we open the classes up for real play.

In the week leading up to Feb 9th, we will have keep double exp on to give everyone a chance to get to level 50 before the testing begins. Even if you may not be able to make it to level 50 in time, this is still a great opportunity to come in and get a quick start. This is an exciting time in our development, and I encourage anyone to stop by and try us out.

Hope to see some new faces!

If we have enough new people come in, we may also turn off grouping restrictions. Also, it seems that our "Super Sonic" quest is running as well!

Just to update everyone, this is the last full day of double exp.

Starting tomorrow morning, we will be turning off double exp and toggling the "order" or "good" side of the class skills on.

This will encompass the Fighter promotion class Monk, the Thief promotion class Pirate, the Knight promotion class Paladin, and the Mage promotion class White Wizard.

Don't miss it!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the trial for the orderly/light class skills have begun. If you have a level 50 character on End of Time, you are highly encouraged to come take advantage.

Thanks!

Testing week went well.

Various skills have been tweaked or rewritten as a result of the testing, and as a result of that, we'll be holding skill trials again this week.

We may not be doing two days worth of each classification of skills, but there should be some skill trials throughout the week.

Unlike last week, however, we will continue to run double exp this week to help others catch up to level 50 to be able to test some skills, and to help drum up some more activity.

So that's right, skill testing AND double exp this week!
