Item Bulk

Item bulk is how much space an item takes up in a
character's inventory. The higher the number, the
more bulky the item is. Each player has a maximum
bulk value dependent on their size class:
Small: 75
Medium: 100
Large: 125

This is the max allowed for all items combined on a
player. If a player wants to get, purchase, steal,
be handed, or in any way add to their inventory, bulk
will be checked first, and if it will exceed their
max allowed bulk, then they cannot put the item in
their inventory. Items in bags are not counted, and
only the bag's bulk is counted instead. In addition,
items worn (armor), count as only half their bulk value.
The code will take care of this when it's calculating
bulk- you do not have to. A bag can hold inside it any
item equal to or less then the bag's bulk. We wont have
people putting blackened-steel eviscerators in small bags
anymore. They also wont be able to carry around 50
healing potions or other small items without impeding
their ability to pick up anything else.

Items will have a default bulk value dependent upon type.
This can be further modified as desired as you make items.
Generally, if an object is magical in nature (such as
magical weapons) it's bulk can be reduced to reflect how
easy it is to handle. Use realism when determining this -
a magical lance +4 is still about 10' long and will still
be bulky as hell, but since it would have a bulk rate of
like 20, it could instead have 15 because it's magical.
These are the default values:

Things to remember:
1) If an item is extremely fragile, its bulk
can be doubled.
2) Magical items can have reduced bulk.
3) For weapons, go by basic size:
   Small: -2 (Dagger size)
Medium: +0 (A longsword or shortsword)
   Large: +2 (Battle-Axe size)
   Huge: +4 (A hill giant's club)
   Giant: +6 (A frost giant's axe)
4) Other items can go by size like above too.
For example, a pair of pixie wings would be
small(-2), and a holding item called a "severed
troll's head" would be large (+2).
5) If an item is unwieldy and generally hard to
carry, it has increased bulk.
