This patch removes all the alternate OS "support" from the source code. I put "support" in quotes, because it was mostly a set of hacks done to get things going in environments that weren't setup properly to begin with. As several people have said, there's no point trying to claim support for a platform that no longer exists, and that nobody on the team has access to anyways.

With that in mind, I've remove OS specific stuff entirely, and if someone has a problem on a modern architecture (OS X, FreeBSD), I'll be happy to help get it working. If enough people care, those changes can be merged back in.

This patch will also, hopefully, mark the end of me doing patches by hand against copies of directories. I got subversion running on my server, and with a big of a struggle, convinced all the previous patches to go in. If the team wants it, I'll be happy to export the entire subversion history so it can be imported into the repository we'll be using live.

I did this last patch by hand, since the one direct from svn had a couple of minor glitches. Hopefully, it'll smooth out as we move forward.

Next up…. removal of fpReserve and perhaps a little other cruft.
